Should You Have Multiple Spyware Removal Programs On Your Computer

Take a look in your kitchen cabinet, if you are like most people you keep all of your cleaners under your kitchen sink. How many different cleaners do you have there? You probably have a window cleaner, a cleaner for tile, one for your bathroom, one for carpet, cleaner for your dishes and so on. So, what’s my point, what does this have to do with spyware removal programs? The point I am making is that just like you have different cleaners in your house that are designed for certain functions, the same things applies with spyware removal tools. All of the different programs available cover different problems and I do not know of one that doe it all.

Another way of looking at it is like this, your computer is a communication device as well. This is especially true for people who do their banking online, stock trading, shopping etc. If you are one of these people, and many of us are like this, then your computer has records of transactions, your identification including social security number, credit card numbers, and banking information. Now, you should realize why hackers want to get into your system. If they can gain access to your information they can use your banking information, credit cards, and more for whatever purpose they desire. You don’t leave the door to your house wide open and you shouldn’t leave your computer unguarded either.

So what kind of programs should be used to give a computer complete protection?

The first defense in protecting your computer from spyware programs is a firewall. A firewall in similar to having a sentry at a gate or entry point whose job is to only allow certain people in and keep others out. Firewalls work the same way, they allow the programs that you need to operate and they will deny entry to others. Firewalls aren’t designed to stop spyware from entering but they will not allow spyware to go out from your computer.

The various anti-virus programs are designed to first block viruses from getting in, but also to find and remove any that do sneak by. There are a large number of these types of programs and they all offer different levels of protection for your computer.

There are some programs that can really wreak havoc on your system and you need to be aware of them and watch out for them.

Trojans are a very common way for hackers to get into your system, they will come in on other files and set up residence on your computer and allow the hacker access to use your computer for various things like emailing, web browsing, etc.

Some of the most nefarious programs known as backdoor admin programs are Subseven, Netbus, and BackOrifice. Again these programs enable a hacker to use your computer remotely.
